New York City : Buckingham Hotel: "Great for Families"

We stayed at the Buckingham over Labor Day weekend 2006. There were 4 in our party: my husband, me, and our kids ages 7 and 10. The rooms are actually good-sized apartments. Ours was one of the larger ones on a corner. It has a huge room with a king sized bed and a living room with a queen pull out bed. The kids loved having their own space. There was a ton of closet space. The bathroom was a bit small and dated, but that was not a problem -- everything worked fine. The full kitchen had all the equipment needed for cooking meals. It is at a subway stop and just down the block from Carnegie Hall -- very convenient to Times Square, museums, shopping, Central Park, etc. If you want more space than a normal New York hotel room for roughly the same price, give this place a try.
