BUCKINGHAM HOTEL NAMES LYNN CHAN
AS DIRECTOR OF SALES
NEW YORK, August 16th, 2005– The historic Buckingham Hotel (http://www.buckinghamhotel.com/), a deluxe all-suite hotel at 101 West 57th Street in Manhattan, has named industry veteran Lynn Chan as director of sales.
“Lynn Chan has a wealth of skills gleaned from hotel management positions all over the world,” said Stephen Shapiro, managing partner of the Buckingham. “Her knowledge of this neighborhood’s properties, combined with the global hotel experience that has shaped her world view, is a perfect fit for a midtown boutique such as ours that for generations has attracted international guests.”
Chan’s career stretches back to the Regal Hong Kong Hotel, where she was assistant manager, shortly after serving as group manager for New York’s Park Central Hotel. Chan then returned to New York and served as sales manager and group manager, respectively, for midtown Manhattan’s Empire Hotel and the Mayflower Hotel. Her most recent position was senior sales manager at the Holiday Inn Martinique.
“I love midtown Manhattan – I think it’s the center of the universe. And I believe the Buckingham Hotel has capitalized wonderfully on all that this area has to offer – from its art and music venues to its business vitality – and so I look forward to being part of the team that continues the success the Buckingham has already had,” Chan said.
