Travel Is A Race Won By Seconds
By Perry Garfinkel
To some, dining at restaurants is not a good use of time. "Who`s got time to sit down for a whole meal?" said Matt Cohen, the chief executive of ChoiceShirts.com, an online retailer of T-shirts, based in Pennsauken, N.J.
His solution is that before a red-eye flight to Europe, he comes to New York a full day early for meetings, works nonstop and stays overnight at the Buckingham Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, specifically because it delivers a free Carnegie Deli box lunch to his suite. He takes his favorite corned beef sandwich to the airport and eats while waiting at the plane or on board. "It shouldn`t be a total loss of time," he said.
